Musola Metalli has a very wide range of round, flat and square cast iron bars. All the cast iron bars we sell are melted in continuous casting. The standard length is 3 meters. For a diameter of more than 200 mm, we can cut flanges on any lengths. If the diameter is smaller, we provide multiples of 1 meter.

About Cast Iron
Cast iron melted in continuous casting is widely used in many fields because of its resistance to use. In addition to that, it absorbs sounds, reduces vibrations, resists to corrosion, and these aspects extend the quality and the reliability of mechanical components. Cast iron has a good tool machinability, has no porosity and there is a wide availability, characteristics that led to the replacement of steel components with cast iron ones. Musola Metalli buys certified cast iron directly from the most important European foundries. We have a wide range of dimensions ready in our warehouse in the standard alloys – both grey cast iron (GJL-250) and nodular cast iron (GJS-400, GJS-500, GJS-600).
We are specialized in round, square and flat c.c. cast iron bars, for the mechanical industry in general. Continuous casting is a melting process which allows to obtain more uniform and homogeneous products with particular characteristics, such as straightness and concentricity on the outside, with no gas porosity and metallic inclusions. Moreover, the mechanical properties are far better than products made with different melting processes – with equal alloy.
