High copper alloys

We can provide special or high copper alloys; these are alloys that contain an additional element that can impart special properties to copper, in order to meet a particular application, production process and environment. Copper can be combined with beryllium, cobalt, chromium, zirconium, silicon and nickel. We are able to sell round bars, hollow bars, flat bars, hexagonal bars and sheets with dimension 1000 x 2000 mm.

Upon request, we can order:

• Copper-beryllium CuBe1: round, flat, square bars, both extruded and drawn, or forged for big dimensions – alloy used for nozzles and electrodes, etc.
• Copper-beryllium CuBe2: round, flat, square bars, both extruded and drawn, or forged for big dimensions – alloy used for components where high mechanical properties and electrical conductivity are requested.
• Copper-tellurium Cu-Te: round, hexagonal bars – alloy used in the electromechanical and electronics field, for electric contacts and nozzles for wire welding.
• Copper-chromium-zirconium CuCrZr: round, flat, square bars, both extruded and drawn, or forged for big dimensions – alloy used for components where high mechanical properties and electrical conductivity are requested.

Characteristics and fields of application

The main characteristics are the excellent resistance to low and high temperatures, and the excellent electrical conductivity. For these reasons, high copper alloys are used in the nanotechnologies, thanks also to the good mechanical properties.
