Ferrules: materials and production 

Ferrules are sealing/fastening rings, with internal thread, which can have different shapes depending on the use. On the external diameter, it is possible to do millings and carvings though specific hook wrenches. These are not sealing rings.

Ferrules are used in the mechanical field and their main function is to connect to elements. Furthermore, ferrules are also used to increase precision and decrease backlash.

Ferrules have the shape of rings with internal or external thread.

Materials

Ferrules can be made of bronze or plastic materials.
